Pam Glidewell, Scopist
Pam Glidewell is a uniquely qualified and highly experienced Advantage Eclipse scopist and proofreader serving freelance and official court reporters from coast to coast. She enjoys establishing long-term working relationships with her reporter clients and other scopists and proofreaders with whom she works and holds professionalism, reliability, and ethics of utmost importance.
Prior to establishing ASAP Scoping and Proofing, Inc., Pam earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She later began a successful career as a paralegal working directly for Av-rated attorneys in diverse areas of law. Those 20+ years of legal experience established a knowledge base and skill set which make her a uniquely qualified and highly sought-after scopist and proofreader.
During her years working in the private sector, Pam achieved the Professional Legal Secretary PLS® certification and was awarded the Certified Paralegal CLA® by the National Association of Certified Paralegals. The CLA® accreditation is achieved through rigorous examination of the knowledge necessary to be an effective paralegal.
Pam began proofreading for several court reporters while continuing to work as a CLA in a highly respected law firm in Tallahassee, Florida. At the encouragement of these reporters, Pam took a pivotal step and trained in Advantage Eclipse software. Herein she discovered her passion for producing beautiful, perfectly punctuated verbatim transcripts.
In 2004 Pam made a life-changing decision to hang her own shingle and forge a new career establishing ASAP Scoping & Proofing, Inc. The rest is history. She has now clocked thousands of hours creating the verbatim record using her critical eye for accuracy and strong work ethic to produce quality transcripts. She has worked many high-profile cases to include the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill and litigation arising from the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center.
